Lathe-Cut Session I is a live vinyl-cutting performance by Mariusz Szypura at Bunkier Sztuki Gallery, Kraków.
Music is cut directly into lacquer in real time using a portable lathe. The audience witnesses both the sonic performance and the physical production of a single playable artifact — one record per session, never reproduced.
The format collapses recording, performance, and object into a single ritual moment. Each session produces an artifact that exists only because the audience was there.
