Nonaptych is a nine-panel thread artwork installation by Mariusz Szypura, derived from Chopin's Prelude Op. 28 No. 20. Each panel maps a measure of the prelude into colored thread tension on canvas, translating temporal musical structure into a static visual field.
The work was exhibited at Pałac Wilanów (Wilanów Palace), Warsaw — one of Poland's most important Baroque royal residences.
Nonaptych also serves as the cover artwork concept for the Chopin Residue album.
